You are welcome to come and see our completed boats to discuss bespoke modifications and view them in wood before making a purchase or commissioning one. If you are keen to buy on the day, do not forget your roof rack or trailer! Please contact us to make an appointment.
Pricing
1. Completed Canoes
Option A: Clear Finished Wood Strip
Prices range from approximately £4500 to £6000 depending on the exact specifications.
Option B: Wood Canvas
Starting at around £6000, prices may vary, particularly with bespoke artwork.
2. Kits
If you prefer to craft your own canoe, we offer a selection of kits to help you realize your vision. What you will get depends upon the kit you choose see below:
12 ft Kingfisher Solo Canoe Kit
1. A set of 70 12ft bead and cove strips in red cedar, with or without 10 contrasting strips.
2. A set of 12 ash stem laminates.
3. Inwale and outwale timbers (square section) in ash or sapele mahogany.
4. Deck blanks in contrasting timbers (beautiful pieces selected from stock or as per your preference).
5. A yoke blank.

14ft Dabchick Canoe Kit
1. A set of 70 14ft bead and cove strips in red cedar, with contrasting lighter timber strips for a "humbug pattern."
2. A set of 12 ash stem laminates.
3. Inwale and outwale timbers (square section), typically in ash or sapele mahogany, occasionally sycamore.
4. Deck blanks in contrasting timbers (beautiful pieces selected from stock or as per your preference).
5. A yoke blank.

16ft Peterborough Kit
1. A set of 70 off 16ft bead and cove strips in red cedar with 10 contrasting strips.
2. A set of 12 Ash stem laminates.
3. Inwale and Outwale timbers (square section) usually in Ash or Sapele Mahogany.
4. Deck blanks in contrasting timbers.( I will select some beautiful
pieces from stock unless you have a particular preference.)
5. A yoke blank.
Price: approx. £1600 - Enquire for details.
Optional Items (kits only)
1. Extra 10 bead and cove strips in cedar or lighter timber. Price: £60-80
2. Parts to construct the strongback (bench on which your canoe is built). Price: £250
3. Paper drawing of full size forms for one of our designs (Kingfisher, Dabchick or Peterborough). Price: £150
4.Forms cut from 12mm MDF. Price: £300
Please note we recommend purchasing your own resin, cloth and other sundries and we can supply links for places to get these once your deposit is paid.
Lead Time
Completed Canoes
1. Clear finished canoes take approximately six to eight weeks or more, depending on specifications.
2. Wood canvas canoes take around eight to ten weeks or more.
3. Plywood canoes take around 4 to 6 weeks.
Kits
Our kits take around four weeks to prepare, though occasionally we have strips ready to go. Please enquire for details.
Payment
A 50% deposit is required for all commissions, with full payment due upon completion and before collection or delivery. Payment can be made via bank transfer or cheque; however, we must wait for cheques to clear.
Collection & Delivery
Canoes
Delivery of canoes, particularly overseas, may take some time to organize. We can assist in organizing delivery, or you may choose to arrange it yourself. Collection from our workshop is a popular option and is free of charge. Delivery charges apply based on distance and location.
Kits
Transporting kits is best achieved on a roof rack or inside tubing, or strapped to planks of timber. If shipping is required, please provide destination details for a quote. Shipping fees are to be paid in advance.
Returns
Please note that returns are only accepted in unused, undamaged condition, and transportation costs are at your expense.
